Who I Am...

Well, as you already know, I'm Kat! I'm the face behind the bakes and I'm responsible for every Bake My Cake creation. I’m a professional chef with a deep appreciation of good food, having worked in a variety of  restaurants over the years. During the 2020 pandemic, like many, my career needed to pivot. I turned my hand to at-home baking, making my first ever cake and falling in love with the craft. I was making cakes for friends and family, with my wonderful daughter being chief taste-tester. After plenty of positive feedback, I decided that it was time to turn my passion into a business. Since then I’ve attended baking & tiered cake classes and even a pastry course with renowned Spanish pastry chef Hans Ovando.

What I Do...

I absolutely love working with people to create their dream cakes. There's something so special about being a part of someone's celebration and creating a cake that not only looks amazing but tastes delicious too. Seeing the joy on my clients' faces when they see their cake for the first time is truly priceless. All of my cakes and bakes are created using high-quality ingredients and all of my handmade decorations are crafted with the utmost love and care. I offer vegan and gluten free options in all of my bakes, so I can help remove the worry of catering to dietary needs during your celebrations.

Where I Do It...

I'm based in Coldstream in the Scottish Borders, and I'm very pleased to offer delivery to some of the popular wedding locations in the area, including Marshal Meadows, Bromouth Courtyard, Ednam House Hotel, Paxton House, Newton Hall, Wedderlie House, Doxford Barns, and Netherbyres House. I understand the importance of timely and reliable delivery, especially on your wedding day, so I strive to ensure that your wedding cake arrives at your chosen location in perfect condition, exactly when you need it. I am also able to arrange for self-collection if you'd prefer and the same goes for celebration cakes & bakes too.
